1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Rounds ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Rounds is built and supported by Brask Group, a venture studio focused on healthcare, marketing, and software.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for medical students preparing for the USMLE Step 1 exam. To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid .edu email address from a medical school
  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

3. Free Access for Medical Students

Medical students with verified .edu email addresses receive free access to Rounds. We verify .edu email addresses to ensure the Service remains free for medical students.

Lifetime Guarantee: If we ever introduce paid features in the future, verified medical students with .edu emails will receive a lifetime code for full access to all paid features—forever free.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Ensuring your .edu email address remains valid and accessible

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use a non-.edu email address to circumvent verification requirements

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Rounds and Brask Group and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

The clinical cases and educational content are provided for educational purposes only. While cases are aligned with First Aid topics, Rounds is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by First Aid or its publishers.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected

Rounds is an educational tool and does not guarantee performance on the USMLE Step 1 exam. Your exam results depend on many factors beyond the scope of this Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rounds and Brask Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
